Peace

Here’s my card for this week’s Bellarific Friday sketch from Stamping Bella. I pulled out my Beatrice Bellbottoms image for this bright card.

Beatrice is colored with Copic markers and highlighted with just a bit of Ruby Slipperz Glitz Stickles. I had just enough room on the oval panel to squeeze in the matching “peace” sentiment in red ink.

I matted the image using a combination of papers from K & Company’s Lemon Drop line. The red dotted paper coordinates nicely with the flower centers on the floral paper—and with the flowers in Beatrice’s hand, too. I added a trio of Dew Drops as a simple embellishment. They’re really all the same shade of red, but I guess the paper behind them makes them change color just a bit . . .

Materials Used:
Beatrice Bellbottoms image and sentiment (Stamping Bella); white cardstock (Gina K Designs); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Lemon Tart and Enchanted Evening cardstock (Papertrey Ink); designer paper (K & Company-Lemon Drop line); red grosgrain ribbon (Michaels); red Dew Drops (Robin’s Nest); oval dies (Nestabilities); Ruby Slippers Glitz Stickles (Ranger)
