Blogger Challenge: Week 116

This week’s blogger challenge theme is thinking of you. I pulled out a soon-to-be released set from Clear & Simple Stamps for my humorous take on the challenge. The main image is one that’s familiar to papercrafters and stampers—a Big Shot! This new set is called Your Best Shot and features the Big Shot image and a bunch of fun coordinating sentiments. It’s part of the Playtime Collection that will be available on September 15.

The Big Shot on my card is colored with Copic markers to match the original color scheme of the tool instead of its current black with pink accents. I paired the teal machine with SU!’s Bermuda Bay and Papertrey Ink’s Aqua Mist cardstock—they complemented the teal nicely. For a little more color, I used a piece of striped Cosmo Cricket paper for the panel across the cardfront.

The “sending you a shot out” sentiment is stamped on a banner shaped panel made from a scrap of Aqua Mist cardstock. The Bermuda Bay ink really pops against this soft aqua background. I added a single brad as an embellishment before attaching the sentiment to the card. The banner extends just a tiny bit beyond the left edge of the card for some added interest.
