Blogger Challenge: Week 117
This week’s blogger challenge was a color challenge using Chocolate Chip, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, and a neutral.
Here’s what I came up with. I used my Everyday Button Bits set from Papertrey Ink—minus the buttons! The bird image was stamped in Chocolate Chip ink on a white panel. I replaced the button with a circle punched from a scrap of textured Crushed Curry cardstock. Works great! I added a teeny, tiny pink rhinestone as an eye to finish off my cute little circle bird.
I added a few more circle elements to my design. The panel beneath the bird is a scrap of dotted patterned paper from PTI’s Bitty Dot Basics papers. I also embossed a Melon Mambo panel with a polka dotted embossing folder. The “hey there, chickadee” sentiment fit nicely alongside the panel and really pops against the Crushed Curry cardfront.
For more projects using this color combination, you can visit the rest of the challenge players. Links to their blogs are in the sidebar on the right.
Materials Used:
Everyday Button Bits, Bitty Dot Basics paper (Papertrey Ink); Chocolate Chip and Melon Mambo Classic inks, Chocolate Chip, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, and Whisper White cardstock, Crushed Curry textured cardstock, Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals (Stampin’ Up!); 7/8” circle punch (EK Success); Polka Dots embossing folder (QuicKutz)
