Papertrey Ink September Blog Hop: Going Green

For this month’s Papertrey Ink blog hop, the challenge was to recycle something from your Papertrey packaging for your project. Not only did I recycle something from my newly arrived package (white tissue paper), I recycled my idea from the previous recycling challenge, too.

I revisited faux silk, this time with a seasonally appropriate fall and country slant. I stamped one of the pretty multi-step floral images from Garden of Life repeatedly on a piece of the tissue that my new stamps were wrapped in. After letting the inks dry, I crinkled the tissue paper up pretty well, then smoothed it out and wrapped it around a cream cardstock panel.

The panel is layered on a mat that’s stamped with one of the images from the new Vintage Labels set. I used the new Orange Zest cardstock and matching ink here. I cut out the mat with the coordinating die after stamping. A simple button-embellished ribbon is attached to the top corner of the stamped image panel. I used a piece of plaid patterned paper from the Autumn Abundance pack for the panel on the bottom section of the card. It’s hard to see, but I did some machine stitching along the bottom of the panel. I added a sentiment from the Vintage Picnic Additions set and a copper brad to finish the card.

Materials Used:
Garden of Life, Vintage Labels, and Vintage Picnic Additions stamp sets, Orange Zest, Summer Sunrise, and Dark Chocolate inks, Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, Dark Chocolate, Vintage Cream, and Kraft cardstock, Orange Zest grosgrain ribbon, Dark Chocolate button, twine (Papertrey Ink); Labels One die (Nestabilities); corner rounder (Stampin’ Up!); copper brad (Making Memories); sewing machine; white tissue paper
