Two Holidays Defined

I made these two holiday cards using images from the new Holiday Defined II set from the recent Playtime Collection release at Clear & Simple Stamps. This set includes a block definition for holidays plus some smaller images to pair with the definition.

Here's one for Halloween. I stamped the definition block on a cream panel with a spiral notebook style punched edge. The word "Halloween" is highlighted with some chalk to help it stand out just a bit. I wrapped a piece of matching orange ribbon around the panel, then layered the panel on slightly larger olive and black panels before attaching it to the cardfront.

I stamped the small bat image three times surrounding the sentiment panel. It's hard to tell in the photo, but I added a small (and I mean small!) black pom pom to the center of each bat image. It's a fun and easy detail that adds a little dimension and texture to the card.

Materials Used:
Holiday Defined II stamp set (Clear & Simple Stamps); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black, and Very Vanilla cardstock, spiral punch, Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon (Stampin’ Up!); orange shimmery chalk (Pebbles inc); small black pom poms (Michaels)

This card is for Hanukkah--still a little while away, but it's never too early to get ready for the holiday season! I made the definition the focal image again here. On this card, it's stamped in navy ink and punched out with a circle punch. I layered the definition on a coordinating navy circle mat so it would stand out a bit on the cardfront.

The small Star of David image is heat embossed in silver on the silver circle panel. The silver on silver is so elegant IRL! I maintained the blue and silver scheme on the rest of the card. I added a navy panel, edged with a narrow silver strip and a trio of sparkly blue self-adhesive rhinestones to complete my design.

Materials Used:
Holiday Defined II stamp set (Clear & Simple Stamps); Night of Navy Classic ink, Night of Navy, Brocade Blue, and Whisper White cardstock, 1 ¾” circle punch, silver embossing powder, dimensionals (Stampin’ Up!); Versamark (Tsukineko); silver paper (Target); 1 ½”circle punch (EK Success); silver ribbon (Michaels); blue self-adhesive rhinestones (Studio 18)
