I don’t have many Unity holiday stamps, so I went more on the wintery side here. I stamped a mitten image from last December’s Kit of the Month in white ink on red cardstock and cut the image out. I added some sparkle to the mitten cuffs and a piece of twine to “attach” the mittens (remember how we used to have homemade mittens attached on a long piece of yard, threaded through our jacket sleeves so we wouldn’t lose our mittens . . .), then layered them on a pink scalloped circle.I used a soft blue polka dotted scrap of patterned paper across the kraft cardbase. It’s bordered at the bottom with a snowflake punched/embossed pink strip. I found a matching piece of blue satin ribbon to wrap around the patterned paper strip before I attached it to the cardfront. Since I didn’t have any holiday sentiments, I went with “warm & toasty” from the Jolly Little Winter kit, stamped in red just above the patterned paper strip.
Materials Used:
December ‘08 Kit of the Month, Jolly Little Winter kit (Unity Stamp Co.); Pure Poppy and Fresh Snow ink, twine (Papertrey Ink); Pink Pirouette, Real Red, and Kraft cardstock, Dazzling Diamonds, dimensionals (Stampin’ Up!); designer paper (BoBunny-Tis the Season Treasure); blue satin ribbon (Target); scalloped circle die (Nestabilities); border punch (Martha Stewart); Tiny Twinkles (Taylored Expressions)
I used pinks and browns to color in the collection of vases and jars on the shelf. It's hard to see in the picture, but I added some Cotton Candy Stickles as an accent on parts of the image. I realized that the "relax, enjoy the day" sentiment from the kit fit exactly under the shelf, so I stamped it in pink ink with the help of my Stamp-a-ma-jig.

Cute! I love those little vases!
