We've created an album that we want to fill with birthday cards in honor of Susanna's birthday. Here's my card for today's IHP birthday challenge, using images from the Chicken Girl Design Silly Monsters stamp set, available exclusively at IHP. The layout for my card is based on this week's challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges. I colored the monster image with Copic markers to coordinate with the striped My Mind's Eye designer paper. The "hairy birthday" sentiment fit perfectly underneath the monster image.I added a paper pierced edge to the top and bottom of the patterned paper panel before attaching it to the card base. I tied a coordinating light blue faux suede ribbon around the card before layering the monster image on to the card. Since I didn't have much room at the bottom for the trio of embellishments called for in the sketch, I went with some dots of Baby Blue Liquid Pearls to finish off the design.
