Blogger Challenge: Week 119
This week’s blogger challenge theme is love. Here’s a card I made for a swap a while ago that fits this theme perfectly!
I used the set Totally Tool to give my card a masculine slant. The set’s measuring tape image is stamped in brown ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and colored with watercolor crayons and an aquapainter. The image just fit inside the 1 ¾” circle punch! I added a heart made using the Heart to Heart punch as a simple accent.
Since this was designed to be a masculine card, I kept the layout pretty simple. I used a deep burgundy for the card base and added some mustard and brown accents. There’s a line of faux stitching done with my paper piercing tool and white gel pen along the bottom of the brown panel. I added a knotted brown grosgrain ribbon for a little texture, too.
For more love-themed projects, you can visit the rest of the challenge players. Links to their blogs are in the sidebar on the right.
Materials Used (all from Stampin’ Up!):
Totally Tool stamp set, Basic Brown Classic ink, Bravo Burgundy, More Mustard, Close to Cocoa, and Very Vanilla cardstock, 1 ¾” circle punch, Heart to Heart punch, silver brad, Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon, Watercolor Wonder Crayons, aqua painter, Basic Black marker, mat pack and paper piercing tool, white gel pen, dimensionals
