Blogger Challenge: Week 121

This week’s blogger challenge is to alter something. I decided to put some small favor tins to use for the challenge along with a pair of Chicken Girl Designs stamp sets from i {heart} papers.

Here’s a cute little Halloween game using one of the tins. The plan here is to move the tin around until the round balls (beads) settle in the monster's eyes.

I stamped one of the images from the Chicken Girl Design Silly Monsters stamp set on white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers. The monster’s eyes are punched out using a 1/8” handheld punch. I layered the circle on top of a black fun foam circle, cut with my Big Shot and a Nestabilities circle die. The fun foam is glued to the bottom of the favor tin. I added a pair of spacer beads to the tin before closing it tightly.

The outside of the tin is decorated, too. I wrapped a piece of orange glimmer ribbon around the tin’s lid. A strip of designer paper from the Boo to You Collection Kit from My Mind’s Eye is secured around the bottom of the tin. I used i {stick} papers redline tape to attach the pieces quickly and with no mess. What a fun party favor!

And, here’s another idea using these favor tins. I made a cute hanging ornament using an image from the Chicken Girl Design Just Skating By stamp set, available today.

Again, I colored the image with Copic markers and cut it to fit the inside of the tin. The scarf is colored with a Lipstick Spica glitter pen for a sparkly accent. I cut out the image and used dimensionals to attach it to a snowy scene made from blue cardstock with some layered vellum stitched on to it.

I added in some Polar White Flower Soft for some snow before closing the tin. This stuff is fabulous for wintery projects! The outside of the tin is decorated with paper from October Afternoon's Farm Fresh pad. I punched a pair of holes in the tin using a Crop-A-Dile, then added a coordinating sparkly red ribbon loop so the ornament can be hung up.

Here’s a look at all of the images included in this fun set.

And, here’s the other set releasing today, called It’s a Snow Day!

Be sure to stop by the rest of the Chicken Girl Design Team to see more of these new sets. Here’s where to find them:
