Clean and Simple Holiday

Here's a clean and simple--and very quick--card for today's SCS clean and simple challenge. I used two new sets from Verve that work perfectly together for my focal image.

I cut a circle panel from shimmery white cardstock and stamped the "happy holidays" sentiment on the panel in Soft Suede ink, stamped off once (it makes a pretty good match for kraft, doesn't it?). The sentiment is surrounded with pink and blue snowflakes. The outline image, from Christmas in the Air, is stamped with full-strength ink. The solid image, from Frosty Flakes, is stamped off once for a softer look. I added a teeny, tiny rhinestone at the centers of the snowflakes to finish the panel.

A scrap of blue dotted designer paper, left over from other projects, was just the right size for the panel that runs the length of the card. I attached the stamped panel overlapping the patterned paper and added a single pink button as an embellishment. I finished the card by knotting a piece of soft pink seam binding tape around the kraft card base.

Materials Used:
Christmas in the Air and Frosty Flakes stamp sets (Verve Stamps); Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette, and Soft Suede Classic inks, Kraft and Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); designer paper (BoBunny); Sweet Blush button, twine (Papertrey Ink); circle die (Nestabilities); pink seam binding tape (Martha Stewart); Tiny Twinkles (Taylored Expressions)
