Beary Well Sneak Peek

I have another Clear & Simple Stamps sneak peek for you today. This one features an adorable image from the new Beary Well set, available on December 10 along with the rest of the Well Wishes Collection.

I made the card for today's SCS featured stamper challenge. It's based on this get well card. As soon as I saw the card, I knew the bear image from Beary Well would work perfectly in a re-do of the card. The bear is colored with Copic markers and its belly and paws are filled in with some white Fun Flock. The pillows behind the bear are paper pieced with designer paper from Basic Grey's Lemonade collection--the same paper collection used in the original card, but a different pattern.

I layered two Prima flowers and placed them at the corner of the image panel, securing them with a silver brad. I used a circle punch to make two leaves to slip under the flowers. The sentiment is in an opening made using a word window punch. It was just a tiny bit too long to fit, so I punched the window a second time, extending just beyond the end of the first opening I made so that the words would all fit. A fancy Apron Lace border punch along the bottom of the pink panel finished off the card.

Materials Used:
Beary Well stamp set (Clear & Simple Stamps); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Regal Rose Classic ink, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive, and Close to Cocoa cardstock, word window punch (Stampin' Up!); designer paper (Basic Grey-Lemonade line); rectangle and scalloped rectangle dies (Nestabilities); flowers (Prima); white Fun Flock (Stampendous); Apron Lace border punch (Fiskars); 7/8" circle punch (EK Success)
