Pretty in Pink Bellarific Friday

Here’s my card for this week’s Bellarific Friday from Stamping Bella. This week’s challenge was to include some form of stitching—real or faux. I combined the challenge with this week’s sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You to come up with this pretty pink card.

I used the adorable Hannah Lollipop image as my focal point. I colored sweet Hannah with Copic markers and layered her on a scallop bordered panel. Each of the scallops has a dot of Pink Petal Liquid Pearls for a little pink sparkle. I added a rhinestone to Hannah’s bow, too. The “happy birthday” sentiment fit perfectly along the side of the image.

The sewing comes in on the left side of the card. I attached a solid rose strip along the left edge of the card, then stitched a pleated piece of pink seam binding tape in place next to it. I added a pink button embellished bow to finish off the design.

Materials Used:
Hannah Lollipop and sentiment (Stamping Bella); white cardstock (Gina K Designs); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Regal Rose Classic ink, Pink Pirouette and Regal Rose cardstock, scallop edge punch (Stampin’ Up!); Petal Pink Liquid Pearls (Ranger); pink seam binding tape (Martha Stewart); rhinestone (Offray); button, twine (Papertrey Ink)
