Well Wishes Collection from Clear and Simple Stamps
Today marks the release of the Well Wishes Collection from Clear & Simple Stamps. Once again, you’ll find a great selection of stamp sets in this collection. There are nine new sets, including the fun Stamp of the Month Cup of Cocoa set that coordinates with this month's new template, available here. Don't forget that you can use the discount code DTBlog1209 for a $1 savings on the SOTM.
The adorable Beary Well stamp set is one of my favorites in this collection. I used the set’s bandage image to make this fun travel first aid kit. I never seem to have a bandage on hand when I need one—LOL!
I stamped the image on a white cardstock circle and colored it, then added the “ouch!” sentiment in red ink. After that, the rest of the project was all about the tiny tin I decorated to house the kit. I covered the top of the tin with some red cardstock. Then I cut some red gingham paper from October Afternoon’s Farm Fresh collection to fit the bottom half of the top. To secure it, I added some red ribbon along the top of the gingham paper and machine stitched the ribbon and patterned paper. I attached the stamped image to the top and added a button embellished with a twine bow as a simple accent. A narrower strip of red ribbon runs around the edge of the tin’s top. I didn’t put anything on the bottom part so that it would stay securely closed. What a fun—and cute—gift!
