Will Today Be a Snow Day?

It looks like today will really be our first "snow day" of the season. The evening forecast called for maybe 4 or 5 inches by the end of the day, but I'll believe it when I see it. Washington DC area winter weather is notoriously hard to predict. I plan to spend most of the day at home anyway, watching Cosmo the crazy dog in the snow and setting up my new computer. But, with snowy weather on the way, I had to share another snow themed card today. It uses this week's sketch challenge from Paper Craft Planet, courtesy of this week's hostess, Adela.

I used the adorable Pure Innocence line's Snow Day stamp set from My Favorite Things for my focal image. They just released some new sets in this line and I can't wait to get my hands on them! The cutie little girl is colored with Copic markers. I accented the snowballs in her hands with just a bit of glitter, too. The "you warm my heart" sentiment fit perfectly across the bottom of the image panel.

I paired two different sparkly My Mind's Eye designer paper patterns for the card front. A red satin ribbon runs across the length of the card. I replaced the circle panel with a small button embellished bow to finish off the card.

If you have a chance to play along with this week's sketch, please upload your card to the Paper Craft Planet gallery using the keyword sk120905 so it can be added to the album with all of the other creations using the sketch. And, be sure to stop by PCP to check out our annual 12 Days of Christmas event. There are daily opportunities to win fabulous prizes from our sponsors. You don't want to miss it!
