Well Wishes Collection Preview
We’re supposed to have our very first dusting of snow for the season tomorrow. I saw a bunch of salt trucks getting ready as I drove home from work tonight. With the upcoming wintery weather in mind, I thought it would be appropriate to share a warm and toasty feeling card tonight. My card features Cup of Cocoa, this month’s Stamp of the Month from Clear & Simple Stamps. This is such a cute set! Don’t forget that you can use the code DTBlog1209 to save $1 on your purchase of this set.
Here’s a clean and simple card featuring the set’s mug image. I colored the mug with Copic markers before cutting it out with a circle die and layering it on a cocoa colored mat.
The snowflake patterned paper is from a DCWV winter stack. I added the sentiment on a light blue “flag.” The words are stamped in blue to coordinate with the card base. A matching blue button anchors the flag on the card.
Materials Used:
Cup of Cocoa stamp set (Clear & Simple Stamps); white cardstock (Gina K Designs); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Pacific Point Classic ink, Pacific Point, Close to Cocoa, and Bashful Blue cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); designer paper (DCWV-Holiday Collection-The Winter Matstack); Enchanted Evening button, twine (Papertrey Ink); circle dies (Nestabilities)
And, here’s a sneak peek at a new set that will be available in the Well Wishes Collection release on December 10. It’s another clean and simple card, this time with a get well theme.
I paper pieced the set’s tissue box image on a piece of striped patterned paper. The box is layered on an aqua panel using foam tape. Some tissue paper is attached to the back of the box to look like tissue popping up out of the box, just waiting to be grabbed. The “achoo!” sentiment is stamped underneath the box.
I kept the rest of the design simple to keep the focus on the cute tissue box. The same patterned paper was used to cover most of the cardfront. I have a feeling I’ll get a lot of use out of the stamps in this set!
Materials Used:
Beary Well stamp set (Clear & Simple Stamps); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); Soft Stone and Aqua Mist cardstock, Aqua Mist grosgrain ribbon (Papertrey Ink); designer paper (Recollections-Autumn paper); white tissue paper; foam tape
