Little Baby Bee

It's Saturday, so it's time for a new sketch challenge at Paper Craft Planet. Tammy's drawn up a fun one to play with. I took a few minutes to try out my new Papertrey Ink goodies using the sketch.

I went quick and easy here and picked an image that needed just a little bit of embellishing to finish off. I used the bee image from the new Baby Button Bits for the focal image. The bee's wings are coated with chunky glitter and its body is filled in with a yellow button with a twine bow tied through the button holes.

I paired the bee with some designer paper from a K & Company baby boy themed paper pack. The colors aren't the totally traditional soft baby ones and the pattern sort of reminded me of the bee shape. I added a piece of blue ribbon tied around the card, then stamped the sentiment beneath the image panel and ribbon in Brocade Blue ink.

If you play along with this week's sketch, be sure upload your card to the PCP gallery using the keyword sk012310 so that it can be added to the album with the rest of the cards inspired by the sketch.
