Somebunny Loves You

I know I've said it many times before, but I'm a sucker for a cute bunny image. This one has a stuffed bunny and a pair of bunny slippers--that's enough for me! I used this adorable Presley Lollipop image from Stamping Bella for Mercy's latest sketch challenge.

I used a pink and brown color scheme, taken from some papers from last year's My Mind's Eye Valentine's Day designer paper line. Two of the papers--a dotted and a striped one--are paired for the panels across most of the cardfront. I added a strip of pink ribbon with brown piping to cover the seam dividing the two papers.

Presley is colored with Copic markers to coordinate with the papers. I added some white Fun Flock to her slippers for a fuzzy touch, then layered her on a scalloped oval with paper piercings in each scallop. I picked up the love theme from the sentiment in the scalloped heart border that I placed at the bottom of the patterned paper panels. The sentiment just fit along the bottom of the card. It's stamped in brown ink to stand out nicely against the pale pink background.

Materials Used:
Presley Lollipop image and sentiment (Stamping Bella); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Tuxedo Black and Rich Cocoa inks (Memento); markers (Copic); Close to Cocoa and Pink Pirouette cardstock (Stampin' Up!); designer paper (My Mind's Eye); pink piped ribbon, scalloped heart border punch (Martha Stewart); oval and scalloped oval dies (Nestabilities); Cotton Ball White flock (Stampendous)
