Trendy Tree Birthday
One of my stamping buddies is celebrating a birthday soon, so I used Sunday's SCS featured stamper challenge to create a clean and simple--and easy to mail--card for her birthday. My card is based on this card, also using the SU! Trendy Trees stamp set.
Materials Used:
I used a kraft base for my version and created a frame for my tree by tracing around the inside edge of a Nestabilities rectangle die with a white gel pen. The tree is stamped in pigment inks to stand out better against the kraft background
Instead of using ribbons for the "ground," I punched strips of Kiwi Kiss cardstock with a Martha Stewart grass border punch. I layered a pair of punched strips for a nice base. The "happy birthday" sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes is stamped under the image in brown ink to complete the card.
Miss Chloe and I are headed off to her first vet appointment this morning. Of course, it's supposed to be raining cats and dogs--how appropriate . . .
Materials Used:
Trendy Trees and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip Craft inks (Stampin' Up!); rectangle die (Nestabilities); grass border punch (Martha Stewart); white pen (Ranger)
