Aqua Asian Vase

Here's my card for today's SCS featured stamper challenge. I picked this card with a clean and simple design to work with.

I kept the layout and some of the design elements the same but ended up using a few less layers because my focal image was larger. I used images from Papertrey Ink's Asian Fusion stamp set for the focal image, stamping the vase in Aqua Mist and the flowers in Spring Moss. The solid flower images have a dot of White Opal Liquid Pearls at the centers for some texture and interest. I layered the vase on an Aqua Mist oval using foam tape and added a deeper green ribbon tab under the right edge.

The Spring Moss panel on the front of the card was embossed using the texture plate from PTI. I used the reverse side--I think it's called the debossed image?? The panel is attached to an Aqua Mist card base using foam tape to complete the card. I almost decided to machine stitch around the edge of the panel, but Chloe the cutie puppy was sound asleep (on her back, legs up in the air) and I didn't want to wake her with the sound of the machine.

Materials Used:
Asian Fusion stamp set, Aqua Mist and Spring Moss inks, Aqua Mist and Spring Moss cardstock, Ripe Avocado grosgrain ribbon, Tin Types impression plate (Papertrey Ink); Whisper White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); petite oval dies (Nestabilities); White Opal Liquid Pearls (Ranger)
