A+

I was so excited to win the new School Notes set from a recent Our Craft Lounge release blog hop. As soon as the set arrived, I inked it up for a card for this week’s OCL challenge.

I used the pencil as the focal image. It’s stamped on a white panel with the scribbly line image extending out from it, then stamped a second time on a scrap of white. I colored the second image with Copic markers, then cut it out and attached it to the panel with foam tape. The A+ image fit nicely in the upper right corner of the panel.

To go with the school theme, I stamped the “abc123” border image repeatedly in yellow ink to match the cardfront. A piece of dotted red paper from the October Afternoon Report Card collection is machine stitched to the top of the cardfront. I knotted a piece of matching red herringbone twill around the card, then layered on the image panel to finish the card.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Our Craft Lounge School Notes stamp set, medium weight Copic blending cardstock, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Copic markers (YR21, Y17, E51, E53, R81, C-3, W00, W-1), October Afternoon Report Card designer paper, Alexx Kesh red herringbone twill

other: So Saffron Classic ink, So Saffron, Riding Hood Red, and Kraft cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); foam tape; sewing machine
