Daisybella Thanks
I’m glad Friday’s finally here! Our morning started with an unexpected trip to the vet for Chloe the cutie puppy. When we got up this morning, I noticed a tick settling in just underneath her lower eyelid, way too close to Chloe’s eye for me to even attempt to remove it by myself. So, off to the vet we went. Fortunately, the tick hadn’t really gotten embedded yet so it was removed easily and will likely not cause any health issues. All of that excitement made me late for work, setting up a crazy day. I was glad when it was finally over!
Here’s my card for this week’s Bellarific Friday from Stamping Bella. This week’s challenge was to use flowers, either on your image or as an embellishment. I went with the fun Daisybella image for this clean and simple card.
Daisybella is colored with Copic markers. I stamped the flower part of the image a second time, colored it, and cut it out, then attached it to the image panel with foam tape for a dimensional look. A trio of small sparkly rhinestones embellishes the centers of the flowers on the image.
I kept the rest of the card in shades of girlie pink. A scrap strip of pink floral paper runs down the left edge of the card. I attached the image panel to the card base, then stretched a strip of pink grosgrain ribbon down the length of the card, overlapping both the patterned paper panel and the image panel. A button embellished bow dresses things up just a little. The coordinating “thanks a bunch” sentiment is stamped in black on a yellow strip to stand out against all the pink.
Materials Used:
Daisybella image and sentiment (Stamping Bella); white cardstock, Tiny Twinkles (Taylored Expressions); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Pink Pirouette cardstock, Pretty in Pink Prints Series designer series paper, word window punch (Stampin’ Up!); pink grosgrain ribbon (Michaels); pink button, twine (Papertrey Ink); foam tape
