Sweet Sunday Sympathy
I made this sympathy card based on this week’s Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge. The pretty floral silhouette image from the new Kind Deeds stamp set from Clear & Simple Stamps was a perfect fit for the sketch’s large panel.
I stamped the silhouette image several times in black ink to fill out the kraft panel. The panel is layered on a teal mat just a tiny bit larger. I chose coordinating papers for the rest of the card. A subtle olive floral pattern covers most of the kraft card base and a striped piece runs just below the image panel. To add some texture, I used a piece of grosgrain ribbon underneath the striped paper. The left edge is notched to add interest. I tied a twine bow through a brown button and attached that to the card as a simple embellishment.
The “with sympathy” sentiment is stamped directly on the ribbon to complete the card. CSS's hybrid inks stamp beautifully on ribbon with very little--if any--blurring or bleeding of edges. Love that!

I have a project appearing tomorrow exclusively on the app. You can see a little sneak peek in the image to the left. If you haven't already purchased it, you can download the app here.
