I took my inspiration for this card from a bright floral print with a blue background found in one of the photos. I used Verve's Birthday Wishes Plain Jane images for the focal point. I colored the image with Copic markers. The flower portion was stamped twice. I colored and cut out a portion of one of the flowers and attached it to the colored image with some foam tape for a dimensional look.
Instead of making my card a standard A2 size, I scaled the sketch down to a 4 1/4" square. It seemed to be a better fit for the size of my focal image. I embossed a green panel for the top of the card and attached a pink scalloped strip to the top of the panel. A piece of turquoise ribbon covers where the two pieces meet. After I layered on the image panel, I added a trio of pink buttons next to it. The button holes are drawn in using a white gel pen--just a little cheat, but it saved a bunch of time in putting together this bright little card.
