Sweet

Here’s my card for this yesterday's Bellarific Friday from Stamping Bella. This week’s challenge was a color challenge using pale pink, celery, and chocolate chip.

Those colors made me think of ice cream, so I went with this little cutie, Amplee'TUDE, holding an ice cream cone in her hand. She’s colored with Copic markers in colors pretty close to the challenge colors

I paired the image with two different pieces of dotted designer papers—one in celery and one in pink. A satin ribbon separates the two patterns. I added a scalloped scallop strip underneath the ribbon for some interest. The image panel is matted on a pink mat, then attached to the cardfront with one edge slid under the ribbon. I slipped a tab, stamped with the “sweet” sentiment and accented with a green sparkly brad, under the image panel to finish the card.

Speaking of sweet, Chloe the cutie puppy and I are off to yet another session of puppy kindergarten. We've been practicing sitting, walking side by side, and safe greetings this week. Hopefully she'll show off a bit in class!

Materials Used:
Amplee' TUDE image and sentiment (Stamping Bella); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip cardstock, Sweet Always and Spring Fling designer series paper, round tab punch (Stampin’ Up!); pink satin ribbon (Michaels); scalloped scallop die (My Favorite Things); rhinestone brad (Making Memories)
