You're So Crafty

Here’s a card for another of Unity’s anniversary challenges. This one was a sketch challenge with the additional requirements of using 4 different patterned papers and either buttons or bling.

I paired 4 papers from Cosmo Cricket’s Material Girl line with the spool of thread image from the April Stampin’ Store kit for my card (this image comes from the Stuck on You half of the kit). The 4 paper strips are attached directly to a kraft cardbase. It seemed appropriate to machine stitch the sewing themed papers, so I did just that where the different patterns meet.

The image is colored with Copic markers and cut out with a Nestabilities Labels Two die. I added some bling to the heart on the image in the form of Candy Cane Stickles. I ran a strip of red herringbone twill across the top of the patterned paper strips, then attached the colored image panel to the cardfront with foam tape. The coordinating “you’re so crafty” sentiment is stamped in black ink over the knotted ribbon to complete the card.
