It's Your Day

Here’s my card for this week’s Our Craft Lounge sketch challenge. I went for a soft, sweet look on this one using images from the Big Birthday Wishes set.

I stamped the cupcake image in black ink on an oval panel and colored the image with Copic markers. The cherries are dotted with some Glossy Accents—it looks fabulous IRL! I added the coordinating sentiment underneath the cupcake stack and layered the panel on a pair of mats. Each of the scallops on the pink scalloped oval mat is dotted with just a tiny drop of Petal Pink Liquid Pearls for some texture and sparkle.

I paired the colored cupcake image with a piece of My Mind’s Eye patterned paper. A blue scalloped scallop strip runs across the card. A piece of pale pink faux suede ribbon is knotted around the strip as an accent.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Our Craft Lounge Big Birthday Wishes stamp set, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Couture Cardstock medium weight white Copic blending cardstock, Copic markers (E25, E31, E33, RV0000, RV29, R81, R83), Ranger Petal Pink Liquid Pearls and Glossy Accents, Nestabilities oval and scalloped oval dies, My Mind’s Eye Lucky Me "How Fortunate" Good Luck designer paper, May Arts light pink faux suede ribbon

other: Baja Breeze and Pink Pirouette cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); scalloped scallop die (My Favorite Things)
