Got Candy?

Clear and Simple Stamps is sponsoring this week’s Just Us Girls challenge. Some of the CSS design team is playing along with this week’s Halloween themed challenge using one of CSS's fabulous downloadable templates.

I skipped the template part and instead made this simple card using images from the Spooky Sweets set. I stamped the candy corn image in black ink and colored the images with Copic markers.

The colored panel is set on a trio of coordinating ribbon strips. I purposely mixed and matched colors, textures, and widths to add some interest (and use up some scraps as a bonus—LOL!). The “got candy?” sentiment is curved just above the upper edge of the image panel. A simple black button accent completes the card.

Materials Used:
Spooky Sweets stamp set, Perfect Little Black Dress ink, Perfect Little Black Dress and A Blanc Check cardstock, black button (Clear and Simple Stamps); markers (Copic-Y13, Y17, Y18, YR04, YR16); circle and pinking circle dies (Spellbinders); black twill, twine (Papertrey Ink); yellow grosgrain ribbon (Michaels); orange satin ribbon (?)

  1. I agree that is one cute card. It is so simple and that really makes that card so cute. It doesn’t have lot of colors that is why I really love about that card.
