Monochromatic Moon Beams

Here's my pretty loose interpretation of this week's SCS clean and simple challenge. It's based on a sketch that had an image panel running across the card, so I ran with that part and switched up the rest to fit the sweet image from Ippity's Moon Beam & Heart Strings Kit that I really wanted to use. I came up with a girly, monochromatic baby card in no time at all.

I stamped the moon and stars image in rose ink on a white panel for the focal image. I slipped a star border punched strip underneath the bottom edge of the stamped panel and a matching rose trip along the top, then attached the panels to a pale pink card base. I stamped the coordinating sentiment above the image panel and wrapped some pink and white twine around the card a few times to add some interest.

The twine makes my card fit this week's Ippity challenge to use string on your card. I've got plenty of string lying around since while I was finishing up my card, Chloe the cutie puppy managed to destroy a new rope toy that I got her on Saturday. I looked down at her and there were piles of shredded string everywhere. Needless to say, I've seen enough string to last me for a few days--LOL! A matching pink button is tied through the ends of the string to complete the card. I'm now off to vacuum up the remnants of Chloe's rope toy before she swallows any more threads . . .

Materials Used:
Moon Beam & Heart Strings Kit (Ippity); Regal Rose Classic ink, Regal Rose, Pink Pirouette, and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Classic Stars border punch (Martha Stewart); pink Divine Twine (The Cat's Pajamas); Paint the Town Pink button (Clear and Simple Stamps)
