You Float My Boat

Here’s another card featuring this month’s Stamp of the Month from Clear and Simple Stamps. This card uses the cute boat image from the Across the Miles set along with a tiny accent from the Sweet Hearts set.

The boat is stamped on white cardstock, colored with Copic markers, and cut out. I added some Glossy Accents to the boat’s windows (portholes?), then set it aside. I stamped the image a second time on a white panel, this time adding in some blue water beneath the boat. The cut out boat is attached to the panel with some foam tape. The heart trio from the Sweet Hearts set is stamped above the boat in red ink.

I paired the boat image with a plaid paper panel. A red grosgrain ribbon strip, stamped with the set’s “you float my boat” sentiment, runs across the plaid paper. I added a True Blue Fan button, tied with a scrap of narrower red grosgrain ribbon, as a final accent.

Materials Used: Across the Miles and Sweet Hearts stamp sets, Perfect Little Black Dress ink, True Blue Fan, Dare to Be a Diva Red, and A Blanc Check cardstock, True Blue Fan button (Clear and Simple Stamps); Copic markers (B0000, B000, B00, B24, B24, E31, E33, E35, R12, R22, R24, R27, C-1, C-3, C-5)Real Red Classic ink, ¼” Real Red grosgrain ribbon (Stampin’ Up!); Summer Dreams matstack (DCWV); red grosgrain ribbon (Michaels); Glossy Accents (Ranger); foam tape
