Sweet Bellarific Friday
***Scroll down to the post below for my Blogger Challenge/Friends with Flair post.***
Here’s my card for this week’s Bellarific Friday from Stamping Bella. This week’s challenge was to use paper piercing or stitching. I did a little of both on my card.
The Baykahbella image is stamped on a white panel. The images are colored with Copic markers. I added the “sweet” sentiment on a flagged panel and used a paper piercing/faux stitching combination as an accent on the panel.
Something about the baking theme of the image made me think of gingham, so I found a piece of reddish gingham paper for the cardfront. I layered the colored image on a blue panel, then backed it with a red paper pierced panel before placing it on the patterned paper. The image’s pretty large, so I decided to leave well enough alone and not add any more “stuff” to the card.
I’m off to my kitchen to do a little baking of my own—blueberry bread to bring to a shoebox swap tomorrow. I think Chloe the cutie puppy will be shocked to see the oven in use . . .
Materials Used:
Baykahbella image and sentiment from Cuppycake with a Sprinkle on Top (Stamping Bella); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Brocade Blue and Cherry Cobbler cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Flower Shower matstack(DCWV); white pen (Ranger)
