Beware

It’s time to introduce the October Stamp of the Month from Clear & Simple Stamps. This month’s set is Beware. This set features a bunch of great Halloween themed images and sentiments and works really well with CSS’s other Halloween sets, Bewitched and Spooky Sweets, too. You can use the discount code CSS1010 to get a $1 discount on your purchase of this set during the month of October. And, along with this stamp set, we’re featuring the Copic Trio Bundle Yellow Red Trio 4 this month, which includes YR61, YR65, and YR68. To go with this Trio, we’re introducing a brand new color story, Creamsicle Cardigan. You’ll be able to get this fun orange shade in perfectly matching cardstock, ink, ribbon, and buttons. I used some of it on my card for today so you can see how it looks in action. Be sure to stop by the store and check it all out.

Here’s a card featuring the new set and color. I made a spooky but fun Halloween card using the set’s spider web image as the focal point. The web’s stamped in black ink on a shimmery white panel. I added a fun spider button to the web. The image panel is layered on an inverted scallop edged panel—this shape sort of followed the line of the edges of the web image.

I added a strip of sparkly patterned paper from a Halloween paper pack to the right side of the Creamsicle Cardigan card base. A piece of black twill runs along the right edge of the patterned paper. I added a trio of orange brads at the top of the twill and stamped the “Happy Halloween” sentiment in A Blanc Check ink directly on the twill.

I’ll have more samples featuring images from this set throughout the month. In the meantime, be sure to visit the rest of the CSS design team to see what they’ve created using the Beware stamp set. Here’s where to find them:

  1. Super cute Lori! I love how you stamped on the twill tape. I wouldn't have thought it would show up so well. Love your layout too.
