Blogger Challenge: Week 171/Friends with Flair
*** Scroll down to the post below to see my Clear and Simple Stamps October release project.***
This week’s blogger challenge is to create an anniversary card. I used the colors from this week’s Curtain Call Color Challenge to create my non-traditional card with a clean and simple style.
I used an image and matching sentiment from Unity’s December Stampin’ Store Kit, {sweet affections}, for my image panel. The tree stump is paper pieced from a scrap of Soft Suede cardstock and the heart’s paper pieced from a red scrap. I used some foam tape to attach the heart to the stump for a nice pop. The sentiment is stamped in red directly on the cream panel
To keep my sweet little scene center stage, I kept my layout simple. The image panel runs the width of the card. I bordered it with narrow black strips to set it off from the Sahara Sand card base. A strip of red crepe ribbon runs down the cardfront. I used my Bow Easy to make a matching bow to add at the top of the image panel.
For more anniversary projects, you can check out what the rest of the challenge players have created. Links to their blogs are in the sidebar on the right. And, for more Unity inspiration, visit the list of Friends with Flair players on the Unity blog.
Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Unity Stamp Co. December Stampin’ Store Kit {sweet affections}, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Copic markers (E35, W-1), Bow Easy, Creative Impressions red crepe ribbon
other: Real Red Classic ink, Soft Suede, Real Red, Very Vanilla, and Basic Black cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); foam tape
