Thanks a Bunch
Here’s my card for this week’s Bellarific Friday challenge from Stamping Bella to make a card with a fall color scheme. I went with a “vintage” Bella image, Flowahbella, one of the first Bellas I added to my collection.
She’s colored with Copic markers in a warm fall color scheme to coordinate with the designer paper I used to cover most of the cardfront. I sifted through my paper stash looking for one with a fall-ish color scheme and finally settled on this one. I found I have a lot of nice fall papers! I pulled them out and set them to the side so I’ll remember to use them as I work on more fall cards in the upcoming days.
The layout is pretty simple, just a strip of plain cardstock across the cardfront, underneath the image panel. I stamped the sentiment vertically in black ink. I may go back and add some paper piercing along the edge of the cocoa panel to add interest—it would coordinate nicely with the paper’s dotted pattern. A piece of gold satin ribbon with a button-embellished bow completed the design.
Materials Used:
Flowahbella image and sentiment (Stamping Bella); cream cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Creamy Caramel Classic ink, Close to Cocoa cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Harvest Gold cardstock, Harvest Gold satin ribbon, Harvest Gold button, twine (Papertrey Ink); designer paper (Creative Imaginations)
