Textured Thank You

Here's my card for this week's SCS featured stamper challenge. It's based on this simple thank you card. The colors and layout caught my eye. My version uses different images and a different embossing folder, but is otherwise very close to the original card.

I started by stamping one of the images from Unity's Gratitude=Joy kit on a cream panel. The image was inked with markers to get the two different colors. Even though the kit has a thank you sentiment in it, I went with a sentiment from the Thank You Words kit instead since I decided the panel needed a larger sized word. I used a stamp positioner to align the words where I wanted them and to get them straight, too.

I ran the stamped panel through my Big Shot with the Diamonds and Dots embossing folder to add a simple texture. I added a red crepe bow at the lower right corner of the image panel. I switched the position of the bow from the left to the right for balance. I wanted to add a button or brad to the ribbon, but decided against it so it would be easier to get the card in the mail. It's going out tomorrow as a thank you for a gift I recently received.

Don't forget about the big sale going on at i {heart} papers. Use the coupon code black25dt for 25% off your order of $25 or more. The coupon code will expire at midnight tonight (Sunday). The sale's not over just yet, thought. Tomorrow is the big Cyber Monday sale. Hundreds of products will be on steep, steep discount. You don't want to miss out!
