Blogger Challenge: Week 187/Friends with Flair
This week’s blogger challenge is a focus on patterned paper. I created this card for a recent publication call and it didn’t make the cut, so I figured I’d share it for the challenge. I combined three papers from Echo Park’s Be Mine Collection Kit with Unity’s Undeniably You kit for this girly card.
I stamped the dress form image in black ink on a piece of subtly patterned paper and cut it out. I added some teeny, tiny pink crystals to the neckline for a little sparkle. I added a circle of dotted patterned paper to the center of a paper doily, then set the dress form on the doily using dimensional dots to attach it.
Another piece of patterned paper is attached to the gray card base. I’m not a big fan of this style of patterns in my own card making, but it looked right here with the dress form. I attached the doily to the card, overlapping the patterned paper and extending off the edge of the card. I trimmed off the excess for a clean look. Once that was in place, I added the sentiment on a solid pink strip. It’s accented by a piece of knotted pink faux suede ribbon. I love the combination of fun, girly elements and textures I put together here!
For more ideas featuring patterned paper, you can check out what the rest of the challenge players have created. Links to their blogs are in the sidebar on the right. And, for more Unity inspiration (and a chance to win some stamps, too!), check out the full list of Friends with Flair players on the Unity blog.
Materials Used:

other: Melon Mambo and Basic Gray cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); doily
