HB2U Fungi

Here’s another project featuring images from the Fun Fungi set from Clear and Simple Stamps. I used the images to make a tag, perfect for attaching to a gift bag.

I die cut a tag shape from CSS’s Kraft Like a Rockstar cream cardstock. By the way, all of CSS's popular kraft cardstocks are now available in 10 sheet packs by individual colors, so be sure to check it out in the store if you're like me and can't get enough kraft. The mushroom image is stamped directly on the tag in brown ink. I colored it with Copic markers in shades of warm gray then filled in the grass with some yellow greens.

I stamped the "HB2U" and "FUNGI" sentiment pieces on Kraft Like a Rockstar scraps with brown ink, then cut them out. This created a fun, two-toned brown look. The pieces are attached directly to the tag, right next to the colored image

A strip of fabric tape runs underneath the mushroom image. This stuff is great for adding interest and texture to masculine projects without using ribbon. I machine stitched along the bottom of the tape, the added a brown button tied with some twine.

I threaded some twill through the hole at the top of the tag. It's secured it with some twine and another brown button.

For more Clear and Simple Stamps inspiration, you can stop by the CSS iPhone/iTouch app. A new, exclusive to the app project is featured there daily. One of my projects is on the app today. Check out the sneak peek here, then visit the app to see it in full. You can get all the info on downloading the app here.
