Under the Weather

Here’s another card featuring the new Spring set from Clear and Simple Stamps. I went clean and simple with some fun texture on this one.

I started by stamping the raindrop background builder image repeatedly on a Trendsetter Blue circle using matching ink. The tone on tone look is subtle, kind of like a soft, misty rain. I matted the stamped circle on a Party Teal Dawn circle and set it on a piece of coordinating paper with a very subtle, linen-like pattern.

Once that was in place, I added a big felt cloud to the scene. I used my sewing machine to stitch three lines extending down from the bottom of the cloud, being careful to end them at different points. A Trendsetter Blue button “raindrop” is secured at the bottom of each stitched line. The set’s “under the weather?” sentiment is stamped at the bottom of the cardfront to complete the design.
