Enjoy the Ride

This week’s TCP Tuesday challenge theme was Get Lucky. Since I don't have much in my TCP collection that would work to make a St. Patrick’s Day or a good luck card, I will admit that my card’s a little bit of a stretch. I was able to get it mostly green, so that should count for something!

I used the biker bunny from Joyride for my focal image. The bunny and scooter are colored with Copic markers and cut out. I added clear crystals to give the scooter’s mirrors a reflective look and coated the scooter’s lights with Glossy Accents, too. The image is set on a circle panel using foam tape.

The rest of the card is done up in shades of green. I found a My Mind’s Eye patterned paper to use for the large panel on the cardfront. I machine stitched it to an olive panel before setting it on the card base. A strip of olive grosgrain ribbon, dressed up with a bow, runs down the patterned paper panel. I added a strip of olive cardstock across the card and placed a felt die cut strip across it—kind of like the scooter’s path. I really need to get some nicer quality white felt. The stuff I’m using doesn’t work great with the more detailed dies . . . The image panel is attached to the cardfront using foam tape. The set’s “enjoy the ride” sentiment is stamped in black just above the image. My thinking was that this card could be given to someone about to start a new job or other new "adventure" to wish them good luck. A stretch, yes, I know . . .
