Introducing On the Mend II

It’s time to introduce the April Stamp of the Month from Clear & Simple Stamps. This month’s set is On the Mend II. This set features a mix of fun, super trendy sewing-related images and sentiments. It coordinates with previous release On the Mend—and has a set of matching dies, too!

Here’s a clean and simple card that features the new set. I built the card around the set’s fabulous dress form image. Here, I combined the dress form pieces from both On the Mend sets, stamping the dress form’s outline in Dish All the Dirt Brown ink and the solid part of the image in Versamark on a piece of dotted paper from Cosmo Cricket’s Upcycle mini deck. I covered the Versamark with clear embossing powder and heated it for a glossy look.

I used a panel of Coral Necklace cardstock, embossed with a fun, retro-ish pattern, and a circle of another Upcycle pattern to set the dress off from the rest of the card. The “you’re sew lovely” sentiment is stamped on a sentiment flag with its straight edge tucked underneath the dress form. A matching Coral Necklace button finishes things off—can’t have a sewing themed card without a button, right?

I’ll have more samples featuring images from this set throughout the month. In the meantime, be sure to visit the rest of the CSS design team to see what they’ve created using the On the Mend stamp set. Here’s where to find them:

And, be sure to give Amber Daigre a warm welcome to CSS. She'll be joining the App team, providing lots of inspiration via CSS's iPhone/iTouch app.
