Sweet Baby Boy

Here's my card for this week's Our Craft Lounge color challenge to use teal, brown, and white. They're not traditional baby card colors, but I combined them with the sweet giraffe image from the Circus, Circus stamp set to make a baby card.

I stamped the giraffe on white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers, then carefully cut it out. I used dimensional dots to set the giraffe on a white panel. The panel's edged with a narrow strip of teal cardstock and a scallop edged strip for interest and contrast.

For the card base, I attached a strip of dotted paper from Echo Park's A Walk in the Park line along the bottom of a piece of teal cardstock. I ran a strip of brown faux suede ribbon along the top of the panel before attaching the image panel. The "sweet baby boy" sentiment is stamped on a circle panel and layered on a brown mat. I set it on the card and added a small button, tied with baker's twine, as an accent.
