A Latte Flowers

This super sweet card combines this week’s Kraftin’ Kimmie challenge to use flowers with this week’s Cute Card Thursday challenge, also sponsored by Kraftin’ Kimmie. I used the Moonlight Whispers Angie image along with challenge # 131's sketch from Cute Card Thursday for the challenges.

I colored the just awakened, coffee-drinking Angie image with Copic markers. It’s hard to see in the photo, but I added some white flock to the edges of her robe for a fun texture. I cut her out and used foam tape to attach her to a circle mat.

I picked a piece of striped patterned paper for the cardfront and added a coordinating strip of floral patterned paper across the card. The image panel is layered over the floral strip and accented with a white felt flower embellishment. I added a pair of matching embellishments in the upper left hand corner of the card, then finished it off by stamping the “thanks a latte” sentiment at the bottom of the card.

Materials Used:
Moonlight Whispers Angie stamp set (Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Blushing Bride cardstock, In Colors Patterns Pack designer series paper (Stampin’ Up!); Summer Sunrise cardstock, Sweet Blush grosgrain ribbon (Papertrey Ink); Hampton patterned paper (Scenic Route); circle dies (Spellbinders); white flock (Stampendous); flower embellishments (Michaels); foam tape
