Trendy Thank You

This card's another birthday thank you note, inspired by both this week's Color Throwdown colors--lime, gray, and black--and the current Moxie Fab Chevron Chic challenge. I went clean and simple on this one and combined sets from two different companies, which I rarely do.

I started by stamping the chevron strip from the Mint Motif Beyond Borders set in lime and gray inks. There are actually more like 5 or 6 chevron strips, but some of them are covered by the cardstock strips at the end of the white panel. I wrapped a little black and white baker's twine around the edge of the green solid cardstock strip
to hide the seam between the green and white, tying it in a small bow at the bottom of the panel.

I used my new Papertrey Ink Wonderful Words die set and coordinating Wonderful Words Additions stamp set for the sentiment. I stamped "thank" in gray ink, then set the die cut "you" just underneath it. The white panel is set on a black mat, then on a green cardfront. Another thank you note checked off my list!

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Mint Motif Beyond Borders stamp set, Memento London Fog and Pear Tart inks, Divine Twine Black Licorice baker's twine

other: Wonderful Words Additions stamp set, Wonderful Words dies, Simply Chartreuse cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Basic Black cardstock (Stampin' Up!); white cardstock (Xerox)
