Tweet, Square Little One

As promised, here’s another simple and sweet card featuring images from the new Tweet Notes set from Clear and Simple Stamps. It’s based on a sketch from this week’s Less Is More “Pick a Square” challenge.

I started by stamping the set’s branch image at the edge of a Trendsetter Blue panel. The leaves are colored with Copic markers—the yellow-greens I used show up nicely against the blue cardstock. I stamped one of the large bird images on a piece of white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers, then cut it out. After spritzing it with a little shimmer spray (and letting it dry), I used foam tape to set the bird on the branch.

To add some texture, I slipped a die cut felt cloud, made using the cloud from the Spring Simple Cuts die set, partially underneath the bird image. I used Green with Envy ink to stamp the “tweet little one” sentiment nested between the leafy branch and the bird’s tailfeathers. I'm really pleased with how this one turned out--even though the design is very simple and easy to execute, the card has a great look.
