Blogger Challenge: Week 212
This week’s blogger challenge theme is a sketch. I went semi-elegant on this one, making a pretty wedding card using the Bird and Groom set from Our Craft Lounge.
The set’s layered cake image was a nice fit for the sketch’s large circle panel. As a whimsical touch, I added the little bird pair, positioned beak to beak, as a cake topper. The image is colored with Copic markers. Some self-adhesive pearls and Liquid Pearls were added on as accents.
The elegant foil patterned paper I used to cover most of the cardfront comes from a fair themed paper collection. You can’t tell that here, can you? The shimmer and pattern make a perfect wedding look. I used plain solid cardstock pieces for the two rectangle panels so nothing would distract from the pretty foil pattern. The image is set over the panels on top of a silver scallop edged circle. I stamped the set’s “congratulations” sentiment at the bottom right corner of the card. I'll leave you with a little stamping tip--I found that Palette's hybrid black ink worked best for stamping on the foil paper's somewhat slick surface.
