Shouting Hi
Here's my card for this week's Our Craft Lounge challenge to use chipboard on your card. I went with chipboard letters on my creation.
I thought that one of the animals from the Shout It Out set would look great with dimensional letters spelling out a word instead of one of the set's speech bubbles, so that's what I did. I colored the elephant with Copic markers and cut it out, then used dimensional dots to attach it to a light blue panel. I attached small white chipboard letters spelling "hi" next to the image.
I attached a piece of coordinating patterned paper with machine stitched edges to the left side of a blue card base, then attached the image panel over it, matted on a red panel. A piece of red faux suede ribbon stretches across and slightly beyond the image panel. I added a red button, tied with a little red baker's twine, to finish it off.
Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Our Craft Lounge Shout It Out stamp set, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Copic markers (W00, w-1, W-3, W-5), My Mind's Eye Alphabet Soup-Boy collection kit, May Arts red faux suede ribbon, Divine Twine Cherry Red baker's twine, Zva Creative dimensional dots
other: Pure Poppy cardstock (Stampin' Up); Aqua Mist and Hawaiian Shores cardstock (Papertrey Ink); self-adhesive chipboard letters (Basic Grey)
