Shaped Circus Invitation

This week’s Our Craft Lounge challenge is to create a shaped card. I combined the challenge with one of SCS’s Dare to Get Dirty challenges to come up with this fun circus themed invitation.

The shaped card base is cut using a Spellbinders Labels 8 die. I added some star patterned paper along with an aqua scallop edged strip and some bright yellow faux suede ribbon to create a festive circus train-like look. Layered circles with silver brads at the center make simple wheels for the bottom of the car.

I stamped the lion image from the Circus, Circus set on white cardstock and colored the image with Copic markers. After cutting it out, I used some Sparkly Fluff to add a little “fur” to the lion’s mane and tail. I attached the lion image to the train car with dimensional dots, then added the “you’re invited” sentiment on a red sentiment flag with the end slipped underneath the lion.

Be sure to join us for this week's challenge. One lucky challenge participant will be selected to win the OCL set of their choice, so "shape up" with us!
