Designer Alphabet Group Challenge
For this month’s Clear and Simple Stamps group project, each designer chose a letter to be inspired by and created a project based on that letter—perfect for highlighting Alpha Varsity, this month’s stamp of the month.
I chose the letter C and made an altered clipboard for a coach. This is going to my best friend’s son’s football coach as part of an end of season thank you gift. The clipboard will be a great way to present a gift card and can hold a team photo as a way to remember a successful season, too.
I covered the plain wood clipboard (6” x 9”) with some star patterned paper that matches the team’s colors. To break up the red, I attached a strip of chalkstock to the clipboard. I used white ink and letters from Alpha Varsity to stamp the word “coach” on the chalkstock and added the thank you sentiment from the MVP Set beneath it. For some texture, I attached a strip of corrugated kraft cardstock at the bottom of the clipboard. A piece of red grosgrain ribbon, attached with CSS’s Simple Adhesive, hides the seam between the chalkstock and the corrugated paper and keeps the ends secured. For a final decorative accent, I used foam tape to add a football to the clipboard. I stamped the football from the Football set and colored it with Copic markers. To get the football-like texture, I dampened a towel with a little clear blending solution and dotted it on the colored image.
Don’t miss what the rest of the team has created for the challenge. Here’s where to find them:

ReplyDeleteSo cute and what a great idea! I happen to have a coach in my life who could probably use this!
