Fall Fun with Our Craft Lounge

Today it’s my turn to showcase a few projects on the Our Craft Lounge blog. I’m showing off just one here, but you’ll want to stop by the OCL blog to check out the rest of the fall fun I’ve created for you.

This card is for this week’s OCL color challenge to use dark brown, goldenrod, and pumpkin. What a great fall color combination! I turned to one of my go-to layouts for this one. I used the maple leaf image as the focal point. It’s colored with Copic markers in warm yellow and orange shades.

I built the card on a goldenrod card base, adding a strip of striped orange paper, edged with a solid orange scalloped strip, partway across the cardfront. A piece of dark brown ribbon visually separates the solid from the striped. A dark brown circle is set at the end of the paper strips and the image is layered over that. I used my stamp positioned to stamp “happy fall” just above the patterned paper strip, then added a dot of gold Liquid Pearls to each scallop.

Be sure to check out the OCL blog for all the info on this week’s challenge. A new challenge is posted every Friday and you’ll want to join in because OCL stamps are up for grabs!
