I Miss You

Here's a clean and simple card created for today's SCS featured stamper challenge. It's based on this striking design seen here. I kept the color scheme, themes, and basic layout the same while making a few changes to make the design my own.

My card is a landscape orientation, instead of a portrait one. This switch was a better fit for the die cut and stamped postage stamp images made with mixed and matched images from the Love Letters set from The Cat's Pajamas and the matching CutUps Stamp Trio die. To add some texture to the simple design, instead of stamping the "I miss you" sentiment from the Simply Said set on a cardstock strip, I used a strip of black grosgrain ribbon. The images are layered over the ribbon and accented with a trio of teeny, tiny red crystals.

Today's the last day to comment on this post for a chance to win your own Flower Buttons CutUps die. I'll announce a winner tomorrow. All of the Cat Pack members are giving away dies, so you might want to check out Alma's blog for links to their giveaway posts . . .

Materials Used:
Love Letters and Simply Said stamp sets, Neenah white cardstock, CutUps Stamps Trio die (The Cat's Pajamas); Memento Lady Bug and London Fog inks (Tsukineko); Fresh Snow and Black grosgrain ribbon (Papertrey Ink); Riding Hood Red and Basic Black cardstock (Stampin' Up!); red crystals (Recollections); foam tape

  1. Such a sweet card. I love the really restricted color palette. Red, grey, black and white. So sophisticated.
