Blogger Challenge: Week 225
This week’s blogger challenge is incorporate cardboard into your project. I came up with this fun design using cardboard as both a design element and an accent on my focal image in no time at all.
I started by stamping the to-go beverage image from the Paper Smooches Hot Concoctions set on white cardstock and coloring it just a bit with Copic markers. A piece of corrugated cardboard is attached to the image, just where the wrap to protect your hands would go. It’s set on a pair of cardstock circles using dimensional dots. After attaching an aqua strip stamped with the set’s “need to venti?” sentiment to a corrugated cardboard piece cut with a wonky square shaped die, I added the image panel over the end of the sentiment panel, accenting it with a button tied with baker’s twine.
I used a panel of coordinating dotted paper to cover much of the aqua card base. I layered a strip of avocado cardstock down the cardfront and attached a strip of brown faux suede ribbon to the center of the panel before securing the cardboard piece to the cardfront.
